Pedagogy in Operations Research: Where has the discipline been, where is it now, and where should it go?
AbstractThis paper provides a review of the history of operations research pedagogy and the progress the discipline has made in improving the quality of education it provides college students since its recognized inception during World War II. Recent and current trends are examined and ongoing activities and initiatives in operations research pedagogy are discussed. Finally, implications for the future of operations research are considered.
