An easy to use simulation program for gold mine transport problems

Abstract

Efficient transportation of ore bearing rock is an important aspect of the gold mining industry. Simulations of these networks provide management with one of the cheapest ways of dealing with transportation problems. One such simulation model, namely GOLDTRAM, is used extensively by Anglo American Corporation. The scope of problem that can be tackled by the non-specialist user is indicated by the input required and output available.
